Cia Toscana hosted the third project meeting of the STAY project in San Gimignano from January 9 to January 11, 2024.
Over three days, partners from Belgium, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain and Italy, explored various Tuscan agritourism sites in the provinces of Siena and Pisa.
The first day was dedicated to project management activities, including a review and evaluation of the progress made thus far, and the planning of future initiatives.
On the second day, participants joined on a case study visit to Fattoria Poggio Alloro, an agritourism establishment nestled in the picturesque setting of San Gimignano, which served as the meeting venue also. Later, they journeyed to Simignano to explore Azienda Agricola Simignano.
The third day’s itinerary led the group to the province of Pisa, where they visited Fattoria di Lischeto, offering a stunning view of Volterra, an ancient Etruscan city. Partners toured the dairy factory and experienced the agritourism facilities.
Wrapping up the meeting, attendees enjoyed a wine-tasting experience at Azienda Agricola Castelvecchio in Terricciola, where they sampled the estate’s wines and immersed themselves in the local viticulture.
